Attention: Attach the ground wire to the fuel evacuation tool on an uncovered area of the body.
Pic. 2.203. Place of adhesive tape
At a distance A = 990 mm from the end of the suction hose, glue a piece of electrical tape on the hose (pic. 2.203).
Unscrew the cap of the filler neck of the fuel tank.
Lower the suction hose into the fuel tank so that the mark made in advance with electrical tape is at the level of the filler neck.
Note: Handle 1 is no longer used.
Note: There is a valve at the bottom end of the filler neck in the fuel tank. When lowering and removing the suction hose, take care not to damage it. Therefore, the hose should be lowered only to the pre-marked mark.
Pump out as much fuel as possible from the tank through the filler neck.
Carefully remove the suction hose.
Note: If fuel stops pumping out, the fuel tank is empty enough that the sensor flange can be safely opened. With the remaining fuel, the tank can be removed.
