Remove the diagnostic connector, releasing it from its mount.
Loosen the bolt securing the cable to the base of the selector lever.
Move the selector lever through all positions several times. There should be no resistance to the lever movements.
Set the selector lever to position "P" and make sure that the locking lever engages with the parking lock gear (a click should be heard), and the control drive lever on the gearbox housing has shifted to the limit. Tighten the cable mounting bolt to a torque of 1.1 kgf·m.
