Note: Removal, installation and performance testing of the fuel pump is carried out in the same way as described in the system "Mono-Jetronic". The pump capacity should be, cm³/30 s with the voltage at the terminals:
  • 9 B: 265-285;
  • 10V: 340-360;
  • 11 B: 415-435;
  • 12V: 490-510.

Adjusting the throttle opening. The throttle opening is set at the factory and does not require adjustment during operation. If the position of the throttle opening limit screw is accidentally changed, the adjustment can be restored as follows.

On the "2E" engine, unscrew the adjusting screw 1 (fig. 2-111) opening the throttle valve until there is some clearance between the screw and the lever 3 of the throttle valve drive (fig. 2-111). on the "RV" model engine - between the throttle stop lever and the throttle actuator lever 2 (fig. 2-112).

Fig. 2-111. Adjusting the throttle opening on the «2E» engine:

1 - adjusting screw;
2 - lock nut;
3 — throttle valve drive lever.

3 - adjusting screw;
4 - lock nut.

Tighten the adjusting screw until it touches the throttle drive lever (engine "2E") or until the stop lever and the throttle drive lever touch (engine "RV"). The moment of contact is determined by clamping a sheet of tissue paper, previously inserted between the screw and the throttle drive lever (engine "2E") or between the stop lever and the throttle drive lever (engine "RV"). Then tighten the throttle opening adjusting screw another half turn. Check the operation of the sensors (engine "RV") or the sensor (engine "2E") of the throttle position. Check and, if necessary, adjust the engine idle speed.
