Warm up the engine to a temperature of at least 80°C, check that the idle speed of the crankshaft corresponds to the required value, make sure that the exhaust gas system is leak-tight, make sure that the coolant temperature sensor is connected and that the supply voltage of the oxygen content sensor in the exhaust gases corresponds to the required size.
Let the engine idle for at least 2 minutes.
Check the carbon monoxide content (SO) in exhaust gases. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator hose from the throttle body and close the hose. In this case, the content of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gases must first briefly increase, then decrease again to normal values. Connect the hose to the throttle body. If this does not reduce the CO content in the exhaust gases, disconnect the connector (pic. 2-117) oxygen content sensor in exhaust gases. Attaching the connector pin shown by the arrow in the figure. alternately to «plus» battery and «mass», monitor the change in the CO content in the exhaust gases. If the CO content does not increase or decrease, replace the exhaust oxygen sensor.
