Connect the pressure gauge as described above. Start the engine at idle speed and let it run until the required fuel pressure of 3.4-3.8 kgf/cm² is reached in the system.
Set the pressure gauge tap to the position for measuring the fuel flow pressure and record the value of the control pressure on the pressure gauge. Turn off the ignition and check how much the fuel pressure drops after 10 and 20 minutes. The pressure should drop to 2.6 kgf/cm² after 10 minutes and to 2.4 kgf/cm² after 20 minutes after turning off the ignition.
If the residual pressure is not within the specified limits, determine the cause using Table 2-26 and correct the problem.
