Adjusting the fuel pressure in the system (VW Passat B4)

Remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel dispenser-distributor. Check the condition of the sealing rings 1 (fig. 2-185) and replace them if necessary. The fuel pressure in the system is regulated by selecting the thickness of the adjusting washers installed on the plunger of the fuel pressure regulator (table 2-27).





As the thickness of the adjusting washers increases, the fuel pressure increases, and vice versa.
