Remove the air supply cap from the air flow meter.
Crank the engine crankshaft with the starter for 10 s.
Move the pressure disk of the air flow meter to the full upwards with a screwdriver (pic. 2-181) or a magnet. In this case, the resistance of the pressure disk to movement must be the same throughout the entire course of its movement. If it is difficult to move the pressure disc upwards, check if the control plunger is sticking. If the plunger is stuck, replace the fuel dispenser.
When moving the pressure disc down, no resistance should be felt. Otherwise, replace the air flow meter.
