Check the fuel pump performance and the condition of the air filter element. Set the pressure gauge valve to the "open" position (to measure fuel pressure before the pressure gauge), by placing the tap in line with the fitting. Make sure that the block is connected to the control pressure regulator. Start the engine and let it idle. Measure the fuel pressure in the system using a pressure gauge; it should be within 4.7-5.4 kgf/cm². If the pressure is not within the specified limits, replace the fuel dispenser-distributor. You can also eliminate the causes of the fuel pressure deviation from the required value by performing diagnostics according to Table 2-26.
