Note: The throttle opening is adjusted at the factory and cannot be changed during operation. However, if the stop screw is accidentally turned, the adjustment is restored as follows.
Loosen the lock nut of the throttle opening limit screw (fig. 2-180) and unscrew the screw so that it barely moves away from the stop. Then screw in the limit screw until it touches the stop, then screw it in another half turn. To accurately determine the moment of contact, insert a sheet of paper between the screw and the stop.

Tighten the lock nut of the limit screw. Check the engine idle speed and adjust it if necessary.
