Adjusting the throttle closing damper (VW Beetle)

Since August 1975, vehicles with manual transmission were equipped with a carburetor throttle valve closing damper. The damper ensures a delayed closing of the throttle valve when the gas is released abruptly.

Adjust the throttle valve closing damper so that a gap of a = 1 mm is provided between the drive lever and the fully depressed pusher.
