If this valve is faulty, the engine will not start or will have poor idle performance.
Turn on the ignition.
Connect and disconnect the electrical wire from the valve several times; you should be able to hear clicks.
If the valve does not click, this indicates an open in the electrical circuit, a poor ground connection between the carburetor or intake manifold and the engine, or a faulty valve.
