The fuel tank is located in front of the front axle. The amount of fuel in the tank is shown by an arrow indicator. The tank is equipped with a ventilation system.
The fuel pump does not require maintenance. The mesh filter located in its upper part should be removed every 15,000 km and washed in gasoline.
From time to time, it is necessary to check and, if necessary, adjust the engine idle speed, adapting it to changing weather conditions or to the terrain features (for example, to a high altitude above sea level). At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the automatic start-up system is working properly.
Changes to factory-set carburetor settings (for example, replacing jets, etc.) almost always lead to disruptions in the operation of the power supply system and therefore should not be carried out independently.
Caution! Carburetor screws used to change exhaust gas composition must be kept secure from unauthorized access. The screws are provided with seals that are destroyed when removed. The safety seals can be removed with a screwdriver or pliers. After adjustment, the screws must be sealed again.
Note: The screw for adjusting the CO content in the exhaust gases, the engine idle speed limiting screw, and the throttle valve clearance limiting screw are usually sealed.
