The fuel tank is in front of the front axle. The amount of fuel in the tank is indicated by a pointer. The tank is equipped with a ventilation system.
The fuel pump does not require maintenance. The mesh filter located in its upper part should be removed every 15,000 km and washed in gasoline.
From time to time it is necessary to check and, if necessary, correct the idle speed of the engine, adapting them to changing weather conditions or to terrain features (e.g. high altitude). At the same time, it is necessary to make sure that the automatic start is working.
Changes to Factory Installed Carburetor Settings (for example, changing jets, etc.) almost always lead to disturbances in the operation of the power system and therefore should not be done independently.
Attention! The carburetor screws, with which you can change the composition of the exhaust gases, must be closed to outside interference. The screws are provided with seals that break when removed. Safety seals are removed with a screwdriver or tongs. After adjustment, the screws must be sealed again.
Note. As a rule, the screw for adjusting the content of CO in the exhaust gases, the limiting screw for idle speed of the engine and the screw for limiting the throttle valve clearance are sealed.
