Since the leaking oil spreads throughout the gearbox, it makes it difficult to find the leak location. When searching for the leak location, it is advisable to proceed as follows:
- Clean the gearbox housing with a cleaning agent.
- Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
- Sprinkle potential leak areas with chalk or talcum powder.
- To make the oil liquid, it is recommended to perform a test drive of approximately 30 km on a high-speed highway.
- After this, lift the car and inspect the gearbox using a lamp for oil leaks.
- Urgently eliminate the causes of detected oil leaks.
