Oil pan / oil pump (VW Passat B3)

The figure shows a turbocharged diesel engine. The circulation system of a gasoline engine differs slightly. Parts that are not found in a gasoline engine are shown separately.

• 1 - lid
• 2 - sealing gasket

Replace if damaged.

• 3 - oil level indicator

The difference in the amount of oil between the lower and upper marks is 1 liter.

• 4 - sealing ring
• 5 - hydraulic switch for pressure 0.3 bar, 25 Nm
• 6 - hydraulic switch for pressure 1.8 bar, 25 Nm

Diesel engine: hydraulic switch for pressure 0.9 bar, 25 Nm. 8-bracket oil filter

• 9 — bolt, 25 Nm
• 10 - sealing gasket
• 11 — sealing ring
• 12 - oil radiator

Only for diesel engines and petrol engines with injection system, except for those with power of 72 and 90 hp.

• 13 — nut, 25 Nm
• 14 - oil filter

Tighten by hand only.

• 15 - Oil spray nozzle

For cooling pistons in petrol engines with injection system and turbocharged diesel engines only.

• 16 — bolt, 10 Nm

Install with sealant VW AMV 188 100 02

• 18 - sedative
• 19 - gears
• 20 — oil pump cover

With built-in safety valve.

• 21 — mounting bolt, 10 Nm
• 22 — oil receiver
• 23 - Oil pan sealing gasket

Do not stick, ensure correct position.

• 24 - oil pan
• 25 - sealing ring
• 26 - drain plug, 30 Nm

Turbocharged diesel engines only:

• 7 — oil supply line

From the turbocharger.

• 17 — return oil line

From the turbocharger, tighten to the pan with a torque of 30 Nm.
