Removal
Remove the oil pan.
Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the oil pump.
Examination

Disassemble the oil pump. The lateral clearance in the gear engagement should be a maximum of 0.05-0.20 mm.

Check the axial clearance with a steel ruler and feeler gauge. The axial clearance should be a maximum of 0.15 mm.
Installation
Unscrew the oil receiver from the oil pump cover and flush it with fuel.
Assemble and install the oil pump.
Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 10 or 20 Nm, see above.
Install the oil pan.
Drain plug: Replace the sealing ring, tighten the plug to 30 Nm.
Fill with oil, insert the oil level indicator.
Perform a test drive and check the oil pan for leaks.
