The oil pump sucks oil from the oil pan through the oil receiver and forces it into the main oil filter. There is a safety valve on the discharge side of the oil pump, which opens when the oil pressure is too high, and some of the oil can flow back into the oil pan.
Through the central hole of the filter element, purified oil enters the main oil line. If the oil filter capacity is insufficient, the bypass valve directs the uncleaned oil directly into the main line.
The main oil line has channels for lubricating the crankshaft bearings. Through inclined holes in the crankshaft, the oil is directed to the connecting rod bearings, and from there it is sprayed onto the piston pins and cylinder walls.
At the same time, oil is supplied through the intake pipes to the cylinder head to lubricate the camshaft bearings and plate tappets.
