When storing pushers, do not place them with their contact surface down.
Pushers should always be replaced as a set. as they cannot be adjusted or repaired.
Noises in the valves when starting the engine are normal. If they get too loud, the pushers can be checked as follows.
Start the engine and let it run until then. until the fan turns on.
The number of revolutions of the engine for two minutes. increase to 2500 rpm.
If the pushers continue to work with noise. you can identify a defective pusher by removing the cylinder head cover and turning the camshaft until the cam of the pusher to be checked turns upside down.
Using a wooden or plastic wedge, push the pusher down. If the gap is more than 0.1 mm before the valve opens, a new tappet must be installed.
When installing new tappets, the engine must not be started after reassembly for about 30 minutes, since in a puncture case the valves may hit the pistons.
