2. Remove the wire clamp to the battery ground.
3. Raise the rear of the car and place it on stands.
4. Raise and remove the support clip, disconnect the electrical plug 2 from the socket on the pump.
5. Unscrew the shock absorber 9 at the rear end of the pump and disconnect the connection of the flexible pipe 8. paying attention that there is a sealing gasket on each side of the connection.
6. Unscrew and remove the fixing nuts and washers, remove the restrictor 10.
7. Loosen the three fixing screws holding the pump ring 13 and remove the ring and then the pump assembly 14.
8. Remove the o-ring 20 and take out the strainer 21.
9. Installation takes place in the reverse order of removal. When installing, a new sealing ring must be lubricated with gasoline and checked to see if it was deformed during installation.
10. When installing the pump, care must be taken to ensure that its protrusions fit into the recesses of the support ring.
11. If the non-return valve 11 was removed on the back of the pump, install it, replacing the pre-sealing washer 12 with a new one. Also put on new seals on both sides of the flexible tube connection. Install the shock absorber, wrapping it with a certain moment.
12. With the engine running, check for signs of fuel leakage through the connections.
