Fuel pump (VW Passat B2)

The fuel pump is secured with two bolts through a sealing ring. The fuel pump is non-disassemblable and in case of failure, the pump must be replaced.

Checking the fuel supply pressure

Connect the pressure gauge hoses to the fuel pump and carburetor.

Start the engine and check the fuel supply pressure, which should be within 0.20-0.25 kg/cm².

The pressure at the outlet of the fuel pump is not regulated. If it does not fit within the specified limits, replace the fuel pump.
