Removal
Turn the engine crankshaft to the position corresponding to the TDC of the end of the compression stroke of the 1st cylinder. In this case, the mark on the crankshaft pulley should be opposite the edge of the projection "O" of the indicator on the cylinder block.
Loosen the generator mounting bolts, loosen the generator drive belt and remove it.
Loosen the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt.
Remove the front timing belt cover.
Loosen the water pump mounting bolts and loosen the timing belt tension.
Remove the crankshaft pulley and timing belt.
Installation
Warning: Do not turn the camshaft when any piston is at TDC.
Place the timing belt on the pulleys and install the crankshaft pulley.
Make sure that the mark on the crankshaft pulley is opposite the edge of the "O" protrusion of the pointer on the cylinder block, and the mark on the toothed pulley of the camshaft is aligned with the pointer on the cylinder head (see photo).
Tighten the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt.
Adjust the timing belt tension by turning the water pump housing.
Turn the crankshaft two revolutions and check whether the marks on the crankshaft pulley and the toothed pulley of the camshaft match the pointers, and also check the tension of the toothed belt.
Install the front timing belt cover.
Tighten the generator mounting bolts.
Install the generator drive belt and adjust its tension.
