Pressure accumulator (VW Golf 2)

1. Pressure accumulator 1 is installed outside the pump tank 22 at the rear of the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the battery ground wire clamp.

3. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands.

4. Disconnect the fuel pipes from connections 25 and 26 at the front of the pressure accumulator.

5. Loosen the clamp bolt and pull out the pressure accumulator.

6. Install the pressure accumulator in the reverse order of removal. Before installation, check the cleanliness of the fuel pipe connections. With the engine running, check for fuel leaks.
