Caution: When removing the plug connectors, be careful not to damage the wire connections, otherwise the entire wiring harness will have to be replaced. When removing the connectors, do not squeeze the pliers "3314" so hard that you damage the mandrel.

Install the pliers "3314" with the groove "arrow A" on the flange of the mandrel "arrow B" and remove the connectors from the glow plugs.

Carefully remove the connector in the direction of the arrow from the glow plug.

Loosen the nut securing the return fuel line to the intake manifold, open the "arrow" clamp and disconnect the pipeline from the rail.

Disconnect the fuel return line fittings from the injectors. To do this, press the fitting down by the tabs and pull the middle part upward to unlock it.
Instructions: It is necessary to ensure that the area is kept clean and that no dirt gets into the removed return fuel lines and injector connectors.
Remove the return fuel line assembly and place it in front of the intake manifold.

Disconnect the turbocharger guide vane position sensor connector "G581" "arrow" on the turbocharger and remove the wire from the fasteners.

Disconnect the connector from the fuel pressure regulator "M276" "arrow". Remove the cable guide from the rail. Disconnect the vacuum line from the valve cover. Remove other vacuum lines from the bracket on the valve cover. Remove the upper toothed belt casing. Remove the crankcase ventilation system line between the valve cover and the air intake hose. To do this, press and squeeze the quick-release fitting clamps. Remove the high-pressure line between the high-pressure fuel pump and the rail. Remove the high-pressure lines between the rail and the injectors.

Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and remove the ramp. Remove the injectors. Unscrew the valve cover mounting bolts and remove it.

Installation is in reverse order. Please observe the following.
Instructions: If the bolt seal is damaged, it must be replaced.
Tighten the valve cover mounting bolts by hand in sequence 1...7. Tighten the bolts in sequence 1...7 to a torque of 10 Nm. Check whether the valve cover and timing belt cover are properly connected.
Instructions: For clarity, the camshaft toothed pulley is not shown in the figure.

For proper installation, press the belt cover with a screwdriver at the locations of the "arrow" clamps in the direction of the valve cover. The clamps should snap into place with a distinct click. Check for clearance between the hub and the toothed belt cover. Install the high-pressure lines.
