Instructions: After each replacement of the brake pads, press the brake pedal several times firmly. This is necessary so that the brake pads take their working position. To pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir, use the device for filling and bleeding the brake system -VAS 5234- and the pumping device -VAG 1869/4-. Before removing the brake caliper or disconnected brake hose, install the spacer -VAG 1869/2-(at this point reduce the pressure).

- 1 - Torx screw, 12 Nm
- 2 - Brake disc, ventilated, 312 mm, thickness 25 mm, maximum permissible value: 22 mm, replace all pads for the corresponding axle, for removal it is necessary to first dismantle the brake caliper
- 3 - Torx screw, 4 Nm
- 4 - Brake pads, thickness - 14 mm (excluding the thickness of the support plate), with wear sensor, when the minimum permissible pad thickness is reached (approximately 4 mm) the control lamp lights up on the instrument panel, the maximum permissible value is 2 mm without taking into account the thickness of the support plate, replace all pads for the corresponding axle
- 5 - Spring, insert into both holes of the brake caliper
- 6 - Bracket, attached to the steering knuckle
- 7 - Brake caliper, to replace the brake pads it is not necessary to unscrew the brake hose
- 8 - Guide, 30 Nm
- 9 - Cap, remove
- 10 - Brake hose with nipple and hollow screw, 35 Nm
- 11 - Guide, 30 Nm
- 12 - Cap, remove
- 13 - Bolt
- 14 - Bracket
- 15 - Self-locking bolt, 200 Nm, clean before reuse
- 16 - Steering knuckle with screw-on brake caliper
- 17 - ABS speed sensor, before installing the speed sensor, clean the hole and apply a little plastic high-melting grease G052112A3
- 18 - Hexagon socket head cap screw, 8 Nm
- 19 - Wheel hub with bearing (bearing unit), magnetic ring for ABS sensor operation is built into the bearing
