Removing and installing sensor unit ESP -0419-
The lateral acceleration sender -G200-, the yaw rate sender 43202- and the longitudinal acceleration sender -G251- are integrated in the electromechanical parking brake control unit -J540-. The body is installed under the center console. After silting up the ESP sensor unit -G419- with the electromechanical parking brake control unit -J540-, the ABS control unit -J1G4- must be coded and the basic setting of the.brake system* carried out (electromechanical parking brake).
WARNING: Strong vibrations (fall, hit) can damage the ESP sensor unit -G419-. The ESP sensor unit -G419- is then no longer usable.
Remove center console. Unplug connector -1- from ESP sensor unit -G419-. Unscrew the three nuts -arrows-. Remove ESP sensor unit -G419-.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing the ESP sensor unit -G419-, ensure that it is correctly positioned on the bracket to prevent internal stresses from occurring.
Instruction: It is strictly forbidden to install the ESP sensor unit -G419- by pressing it into the seat with the fastening nuts. Tighten the fastening nuts to 9 Nm. Code control unit -J104- using the tester - Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in Guided Fault Finding. For this, the basic setting of the steering angle sender -GS5-, the lateral acceleration sender -G200-, the brake pressure sender -G201- and the longitudinal acceleration sender -G251- must be carried out. Run basic installation "brake system" (electromechanical parking brake). Connect tester -VAS 5051- and select function.
Removing and installing steering wheel angle sender -G85-
The steering angle sender -G85- is located between the steering wheel and the steering column switch box. At the end, the basic setting of the steering angle sender -G85- must be carried out. Connect tester -VAS 5051- and select function.
