Removal and installation of rear axle ABS system components (front wheel drive)

  • 1 - ABS speed sensor, before installing the speed sensor, clean the hole and apply a little plastic refractory grease G 052112 AZ
  • 2 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 8 Nm
  • 3 - Wheel hub with bearing (BEARING UNIT), magnetic ring for ABS sensor operation is built into the bearing

Raise the vehicle. Disconnect connector "1" of the cable from the speed sensor. Unscrew bolt "2" from the wheel bearing housing. Remove the ABS speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

Installation



Before installation, clean the hole and apply a little refractory plastic grease G 052 112 AZ to the sensor. Install the speed sensor in the hole of the hub bearing housing and tighten the mounting bolt to 8 Nm. Connect the speed sensor connector.
