Checking the oil level in the main gear of the front axle (VW Touareg 1)

Remove the oil level check bolt (fig. 3.127).



The oil level is sufficient if it is within the lower edge of the filler hole of the front final drive.

Tighten the bolt with a new sealing ring.

When adding oil, please pay attention to the following points.

Unscrew the bolt.

Fill transmission oil to the lower edge of the filler hole.

Tighten the bolt with a new sealing ring.
