Checking the oil level in the transfer case (VW Touareg 1)

Remove the oil level check bolt (fig. 3.106).

Remove the oil level check bolt (fig. 3.106).


The oil level is sufficient if it is within the lower edge of the filler hole.

Screw in and tighten the new bolt.

When adding oil, please pay attention to the following points.

Unscrew the bolt.

Fill transmission oil to the lower edge of the filler hole.

Screw in and tighten the new bolt.

Tightening torque: oil filler hole bolt 20 Nm.
