Replacing the rubber-metal support of the gearbox bracket (VW Touareg 1)

Remove the gearbox bracket.

Press out the rubber-metal support (fig. 3.102).



Screw the new rubber-metal support to the T10214/3 stop.

Press the rubber-metal support A using the stop T10214/3 into the guide sleeve T10214/2 until the stop T10214/3 is flush with the guide sleeve T10214/2 (fig. 3.103).



Guide the new rubber mount with the T10214 mounting tool to the transmission bracket (fig. 3.104).

To do this, the bolts A or the grooves on the T10214/3 stop must be aligned with the center of the holes in the gearbox bracket.



The x distances must be equal.

After this, press the rubber-metal support into the gearbox bracket until the guide sleeve T10214/2 can be rotated by hand (fig. 3.105).



Press in the rubber-metal support to a length not exceeding the length of tube 3296; if necessary, press it with the VW 441 stop to the limiter.

Install the gearbox bracket.
