Standard windshield wiper
Caution: If the wiper blade rattles, it is usually not enough to simply replace the blade or the rubber blade strip. In any case, the installation angle of the wiper arm must be checked and, if necessary, adjusted, see page 42.
Removal
Fold the windshield wiper arm upward.

Place the wiper blade at a right angle to the lever.
Press the spring clamp "arrow A" and move the windshield wiper blade down from the hook of the arm "arrow B". Remove the windshield wiper blade from the hook of the windshield wiper arm.
Note: Stores offer windshield wiper blades as a set (rubber band with holder), and separately rubber bands. If only the rubber band is replaced, it is necessary to ensure that the holder does not bend.

From the locking side of the rubber band, squeeze both steel tires with pliers, remove them from the upper clamp from the side and pull the rubber band together with the tires out of the remaining clamps of the windshield wiper blade.
Installation

Place the new rubber strip without retaining strips loosely into the lower clamp of the windscreen wiper blade.
Place both steel tires into the first grooves of the rubber band so that the grooves of the tires face the rubber band and are fixed in the protrusions of the grooves.
Wet the rubber band on the locking side with soapy water to help it slide better into the retaining clips.
Both steel tires and the rubber band are compressed with pliers and inserted into the upper clamp so that the clamp projections are fixed on both sides in the retaining grooves of the rubber band "arrow".
Place the blade on the wiper arm and secure the spring clip to the wiper arm hook.
Fold the windshield wiper arm back. Make sure that the rubber band of the windshield wiper blade is in contact with the glass along its entire length; if necessary, carefully bend the holder.
