Safety note
There is a risk of being crushed and pinched during repairs and maintenance of the wiper system. In extreme cases, when parts of the windshield wiper mechanism are caught, limb fractures can occur. Always remove the ignition key before carrying out any repair work.

Standard wiper
Attention: If the wiper blade rattles, then it is usually not enough to simply replace the blade or the rubber band of the wiper. In any case, it is necessary to check and, if necessary, adjust the installation angle of the wiper arm, see p. 42.
Removing
Fold up the wiper arm.
Position the wiper blade at right angles to the lever.
Press the spring clip -arrow A- and slide the wiper blade down from the lever hook -arrow B-. Remove the wiper blade from the hook on the wiper arm.
Attention: The stores offer both wiper blades as a set (rubber band with holder), and separately rubber bands. If only the rubber band is to be replaced, care must be taken to ensure that the holder is not bent.
From the locking side of the rubber band, squeeze both steel tires with pliers, remove from the upper clip from the side and pull the rubber band together with the tires from the remaining clips of the wiper blade.
Installation
Loosely insert a new rubber strip without retaining rails into the bottom clip of the wiper blade.
Insert both steel bars into the first grooves of the rubber band so that the grooves of the bars face the rubber band and are fixed in the protrusions of the grooves.
Moisten the rubber band at the lock side with soapy water so that it slides better into the retaining clips.
Press the two steel rails and the rubber band together with pliers and insert them into the upper clamp so that the projections of the clamp engage on both sides in the retaining grooves of the rubber band -arrow-.
Slide the blade onto the wiper arm and attach the spring clip to the hook on the wiper arm.
Swing the wiper arm back. Make sure that the rubber band of the wiper blade is in contact with the glass along its entire length; if necessary, bend the holder carefully.
