Removing
Moisten the windshield with water. Switch on the windscreen wipers for a short time and switch them off using the steering column switch. In this case, the wipers should stop in their original position.
Mark the initial position of the wiper blades on the glass with a correctly adjusted position of the wiper arms with adhesive tape.
Open the engine compartment hood. Use a screwdriver to press out the protective cap and loosen the corresponding nut -arrows- by approx. 2 turns, but do not unscrew it completely.
Slightly move the wiper arm off the shaft. Loosen the nut completely and remove the wiper arm. You can also use a suitable puller, eg HAZET 1966-05.
Installation
Make sure the wiper motor is in its original position. If necessary, switch the electric motor on and off briefly using the steering column switch.
Put the wiper arm on the shaft and align it in accordance with the marks made before removal.
Screw on the fastening nut and tighten by hand.
Also make sure that the wiper arms are in their original position. To do this, close the hood of the engine compartment, moisten the windshield with water and turn on the wiper for a short time. The wiper arms must return to their adjusted home position and must not protrude beyond the edge of the window pane when wiping. If necessary, once again loosen the fastening nuts and install the levers in their original position.
Tighten the fastening nut to 20 Nm.
Press on the protective cap.
