Removing
Moisten the rear window glass with water.
Switch on the windscreen wiper for a short time and switch it off using the steering column switch. In this case, the wiper should stop in its original position.
Mark the initial position of the wiper blade on the glass with a correctly adjusted position of the wiper arm with adhesive tape.
Fold up protective cap -1-.
Loosen nut -2- by about two turns.
Fold up the wiper arm -3- and move it in different directions. This causes the lever to come off the taper of the motor shaft.
Loosen the nut completely and remove the wiper arm.
Remove rear door lower trim.
Disconnect plug -1- and hose -2- from washer nozzle.
Unbolt wiper motor -arrows-.
Installation
Carefully insert the motor shaft into the hole in the rear window glass. In doing so, make sure that the seal -arrow- is in the correct position.
Tighten motor mounting to 8 Nm.
Connect the plug and hose to the washer nozzle.
Install tailgate lower trim.
Make sure the wiper motor is in its original position. If necessary, switch the electric motor on and off briefly using the steering column switch.
Put the wiper arm on the splines of the shaft and align in accordance with the mark applied before removal.
Screw on the fastening nut and tighten to 15 Nm.
Close the nut with a protective cap.
Moisten the rear window glass with water.
Switch on the windshield wiper for a short time and switch it off using the steering column switch. Check the position of the windshield wiper lever, correct the position of the lever if necessary.
