The windscreen wiper motor control unit "J400" and the windscreen wiper motor "V" are designed as a single unit. When replacing the windscreen wiper motor control unit "J400", it is necessary to first read the code and encode the new windscreen wiper motor control unit "J400" with it. To remove the windscreen wiper blades, the windscreen wiper arms must be set to the "service/winter position". The "service/winter position" is activated within 10 seconds after the ignition is switched off by switching the windscreen wiper lever to the "Pulse mode" position.
Fault detection and error indication
The on-board power supply control unit "J519" is equipped with a self-diagnosis system, which facilitates troubleshooting. To troubleshoot, use the tester -VAS 5051 A- in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode.
