Adjusting the extreme position of the windshield wipers (VW Tiguan 1)

Deactivate the APS function, since it is still active. Wait until the wipers return to their original position and switch off the ignition. Adjust the original position of the wiper blades.

Driver's side


The distance "A" between the end of the wiper edge and the lower edge of the windshield should be 10 mm. If necessary, adjust the initial position of the wiper blades by moving the wiper arms. Remove the wiper arms. Tighten the screw connection to the specified tightening torque.

Front passenger side



Front passenger side


The distance "B" between the end of the wiper blade and the lower edge of the windshield should be 17.5 mm. If necessary, adjust the initial position of the wiper blades by moving the wiper arms. Remove the wiper arms. Tighten the screw connection to the specified tightening torque.
