Check the efficiency of your windshield wiper blades regularly. Rubbing the blades on icy glass surfaces can damage the rubber bands of the windshield wiper blades. Wipe dirty windshield wiper blades with a soft cloth and a special cleaner.
It is necessary to replace brushes whose rubber strip has hardened, cracked or become coated with silicone.
Removal
1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. Rotate the wiper blade at a 90° angle to the wiper arm.

2. Press the wiper blade retainer (arrow A), then move the blade along the arm (arrow B) and, moving it in the opposite direction, remove it from the wiper arm.

3. Squeeze the steel reinforcements of the wiper blade rubber from both sides and remove the wiper blade rubber from the end of the blade.

Installation
1. Insert a new rubber strip without steel reinforcements into the lower wiper blade clips.
2. Insert the steel reinforcements into the first groove of the rubber band.

3. Using pliers, squeeze the steel reinforcements together with the rubber band and insert them into the upper clamp of the windshield wiper blade. The clamp's tabs should engage the latches on the rubber band (the arrow shows the recess of the retainer).
4. Install the wiper blades on the arms in the reverse order of removal. The retainer should firmly secure the blade on the wiper arm.
5. Lower the wiper arm onto the windshield.
