Check the efficiency of your windshield wiper blades regularly. Rubbing the blades on icy glass surfaces can damage the rubber bands of the windshield wiper blades. Wipe dirty windshield wiper blades with a soft cloth and a special cleaner.

It is necessary to replace brushes whose rubber strip has hardened, cracked or become coated with silicone.

Removal

1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. Rotate the wiper blade at a 90° angle to the wiper arm.

1. Insert a new rubber strip without steel reinforcements into the lower wiper blade clips.

2. Insert the steel reinforcements into the first groove of the rubber band.

3. Using pliers, squeeze the steel reinforcements together with the rubber band and insert them into the upper clamp of the windshield wiper blade. In this case, the clamp's antennae should enter the locks on the rubber band, see Fig. Location of the lock recess on the rubber band of the windshield wiper blade.

4. Install the wiper blades on the arms in the reverse order of removal. The retainer should firmly secure the blade on the wiper arm.

5. Lower the wiper arm onto the windshield.
