Elements of fastening of the lock of a cowl
- 1 - hood lock,
- 2 - mandrel,
- 3 - hood lock release lever,
- 4 - clamp,
- 5 - screwdriver blade,
- 6 - self-locking bolt, 12 Nm,
- 7 - microswitch,
- 8 - cable for opening the hood lock
Warning: Before removing lever 3, the radiator grill must first be removed.
Warning: Screwdriver 5 is used to pry out the lugs at the rear of the hood lock lever before removing the lever.
Warning: Bolts 6 are used to fasten the hood latch. When installing, use new bolts.
Warning: Microswitch 7 is installed if the car has an anti-theft system.
Warning: Adjusting the position of the hood opening lock is carried out by moving it due to the enlarged holes for the hood fastening bolts. Before adjusting the position of the hood lock, loosen the bolts securing the lock.
Removing
1. Using a screwdriver blade at the back of the hood release lever, pry the tabs open and remove the lever.
2. Unscrew the two self-locking bolts securing the hood latch.
3. Disconnect the hood release cable from the lock.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the anti-theft microswitch.
5. Remove the hood latch from the vehicle.
