Squeeze both steel tires with pliers from the closed side of the rubber band (see photo), remove from the side of the upper clamp and pull the rubber band together with the tires out of the remaining clamps of the windshield wiper blade.
Insert both tires into the first groove of the windshield wiper blade so that the slots of the tires are directed towards the blade and engage with its protrusions in the groove.
Compress both tires and the rubber band with pliers and insert them into the upper clamps so that the clamping tabs engage with the locking notches (see arrow) on both sides.
