If necessary, use matched bushings to center the transfer case and gearbox.
Always replace the transfer box/gearbox seal O-ring after lightly lubricating it.
Lubricate the gearing of the drive shaft and the gearing of the drive shaft of the gearbox with grease for the teeth of the driven disk G 000 100 (pic. 3.100).
Place the transfer case next to the gearbox, with the gearing of the drive shaft/transfer case aligned with the gearing of the input shaft/gearbox in the center.
With proper engagement and coincidence of the guides, the transfer case will rest against the gearbox limiter.
Do not fasten the transfer case to the gearbox with mounting bolts, otherwise it will not snap into place.
Install the front driveshaft.
If equipped, install damper A on transfer box and tighten bolts B (rice. 3.95).
Inscription «Thor» should point up.
Install the rear driveshaft.
If available, install underbody protection under the transfer case.
Check the transmission oil level in the transfer case.
Install the exhaust system.
Tightening torques
Transfer case to gearbox: 45 Nm.
Damper to transfer case: 32 Nm.
