Replacing the front rubber-metal support (VW Beetle)

The front rubber-metal support can be replaced with the engine and gearbox installed.

Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on supports.

Unscrew the nuts (see arrows).

Move the engine and gearbox back using two long pry bars. Move the rubber-metal support forward and downward and remove it while simultaneously pressing the cap.
