Approximately every 1000 km or before a long trip, it is necessary to check the engine oil level and top up if necessary. The engine should not consume more than 1.0 l of oil per 1000 km. Higher consumption is a sign of wear of the oil-deflecting caps, piston rings or seals.

Examination

1. The machine must be on a horizontal surface when measuring.

2. The engine must be at operating temperature.

3. After stopping the engine, wait at least 3 minutes for the oil to drain into the oil pan.

4. Remove the oil level indicator from the engine and wipe it with a clean cloth.

5. Then insert the oil level indicator until it stops and remove it again. The oil level should be between the two marks.

6. New oil should be added when the oil level is close to the lower mark. The amount of oil from the "min" mark to the "max" mark for all engines is 1.5 liters.

Attention! Do not exceed the "max" mark, otherwise the catalyst may fail.

7. Filling is carried out through the oil filler neck on the cylinder head cover. For filling, use the appropriate grades of oil and do not use additives.

Attention! Indiscriminate pouring of different types of oils is unfavorable. If possible, do not mix oils of the same type but different brands. Motor oils of the same type and brand but different viscosity can be added if necessary, when changing from winter to summer operation.
