1. Warm up the engine to a coolant temperature of 70°C.

2. Place the machine horizontally on stands.

3. Remove the lower engine compartment guard.

4. Place a container under the oil pan to collect the used oil.

5. Unscrew the oil filter (arrow). In a 4 - cylinder engine, the oil filter is located on the cylinder block. The picture shows a 5 - cylinder engine. There is a special tool for unscrewing the oil filter, for example, HAZET2169. You can also pierce the oil filter from the side with a sharp screwdriver. In this case, oil leaks out - put a container.

Attention! Engine oil can also be pumped out using a special probe.

6. Unscrew the oil drain plug on the oil pan (indicated by the arrow) and drain all the old oil. To quickly drain the oil, unscrew the threaded cap of the oil filler neck.

Caution! If abrasion products and metal shavings are found in large quantities in the engine oil, this indicates severe wear, for example, of the crankshaft main bearings or connecting rods. In order to avoid damage to the newly repaired engine, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the oil pan and oil passages.
