1. Screw in the oil drain plug with a new sealing ring and tighten securely, but not too tightly. Tightening torque for a 4-cylinder engine: 30 Nm; for 5-cylinder: 50 Nm.

2. Clean the oil filter flange on the cylinder block with fuel, removing any remaining oil filter gasket material.

3. Lubricate the rubber sealing ring of the oil filter with a thin layer of oil.

4. Tighten the new filter only by hand. As soon as the filter gasket touches the cylinder block, turn the filter another 1/2 turn. Pay attention to the instructions on the oil filter.

5. Fill with new oil through the oil filler neck (arrow) on the cylinder head cover. Then check the oil level with the oil level indicator.

Attention! It is strongly recommended to drink 1/2 liter less oil and warm up the engine. Turn off the engine and after a few minutes check the level with the oil level indicator. Top up if necessary. Excess oil must be sucked out, otherwise the catalyst will be damaged.


6. After the test drive, check the tightness of the oil drain plug and oil filter, and carefully tighten if necessary.

7. Turn off the engine warmed up to operating temperature and after about 2 minutes check the oil level again, if necessary, achieve a normal level.



8. Install the lower engine compartment guard.

Attention! In order to better monitor the engine performance, use the same type and, if possible, the same brand of oil when changing the oil. It is advisable to attach a plate to the engine indicating the brand and viscosity of the oil each time the oil is changed.
