Removal

Measure the distance from the center of the wheel to the edge of the wheel arch.

Remove the wheel.

Remove the coil spring.



Unscrew the lower control arm bolt 1 (Fig. 4.70).

Remove the rear left body level sensor connecting rod.

Mark, for example with a felt-tip pen, the position of the eccentric bolt relative to the subframe.

Disconnect and lower the rear section of the exhaust system.

Unscrew the bolt.

Remove the lower control arm.

Installation

Insert the lower control arm into the vehicle and tighten the bolts by hand.

The transverse arm should only be screwed on when dimension "a" is reached.

Bolt the lower control arm to the subframe and tighten the new nut to the specified torque.

Pay attention to the marking of the position of the eccentric bolt B relative to the subframe.

Install the rear section of the exhaust system.

Install the Geber fr Fahrzeugniveau HL connecting rod.

Continuation of installation operations for all vehicles

Tighten the lower control arm bolt 1.

Install the coil spring.

Install and tighten the wheel.

Adjust the wheel alignment angles.
