First press the brake pedal towards the brake booster and secure (Fig. 6.23).
Using the release tool, pull towards the driver's seat while holding the brake pedal in the opposite direction. In this way, the locking tabs 3 of the fastening are pressed by the ball head of the push rod 2.
Note: The illustration shows the brake pedal being disconnected from the brake booster with the pedal assembly removed.
Pull the release tool and brake pedal together towards the driver's seat. (This moves the brake pedal away from the ball head of the pressure rod).
