Removal
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the air intake sleeve, air filter housing (in vehicles with diesel engines and some petrol engines) and battery.
In vehicles with a 6-cyl. petrol engine, the battery is located in the luggage compartment; accordingly, only the air filter housing needs to be removed.
Remove the battery holder frame.

Disconnect plug connection 1 from brake light switch F (Fig. 6.45).
Remove bolt 2 from the master brake cylinder.
Pull the F3 brake light switch from the top of the master cylinder and out of the retaining tab from the bottom.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Tightening torque
Torx bolt to brake master cylinder: 5 Nm.
