Brake light switch (F), from 2007 (VW Caddy 3)

For vehicles prior to the 2007 model year, the brake light switch is located on the brake pedal.

Removal

1. Remove the air filter.

2. Disconnect the connector (1) from the brake light switch (3).

3. Unscrew the bolt (2) from the master brake cylinder.

4. Pull the brake light switch (3) from below out of the master cylinder and remove it from above out of the retaining lug (4).

Installation

Installation is carried out in reverse order..

Tightening torque: Tone type bolt to brake master cylinder: 5 Nm.
