3 | ABS warning lamp (K47) |
4 | Brake warning lamp (K118) |
Brake pad thickness indicator lamp (K32)
If the brake pad thickness indicator light (K32) (2) does not go out within 3 seconds after the ignition is turned on or lights up while driving, the causes of the malfunction may be as follows.
1. Worn brake pads. Check the brake pads on the front and rear wheels.
Replace pads if worn.
2. There is a wiring fault.
ABS warning lamp (K47)
If the ABS warning lamp (K47) (3) does not go out after the ignition is turned on and the control cycle is completed, the causes of the malfunction may be as follows.
1. Supply voltage below 10V.
2. There is an ABS malfunction.
Attention! If the ABS malfunctions, the anti-lock braking system does not work (disabled), however, the braking system itself remains in working condition.
3. After the last start of the engine, there was a temporary malfunction in the speed sensor. In this case, the ABS warning lamp goes out automatically after the engine is restarted and the speed is increased above 20 km/h.
4. The connection between the control unit of the instrument cluster and the ABS control unit is broken (J104).
5. Faulty instrument cluster.
ABS warning lamp (K47) and brake warning light (K118)
If the ABS warning lamp (K47) (3) goes out and the brake warning light (K118) (4) remains lit, this may indicate the following malfunctions.
1. Parking brake applied.
2. Too low brake fluid level (control lamp flashes).
In this case, after switching on the ignition, three warning signals are heard.
3. Malfunction in the wiring harness of the brake system warning lamp (K118).
Simultaneous glow of the ABS warning lamp (K47) (3) and control lamp of the brake system (K118) (4) indicates a malfunction of the ABS system. In the event of a malfunction of the ABS while driving, a change in the ratio of braking forces on the axles must be taken into account.
Attention! If the ABS warning light is on in the instrument cluster (K47) and brake warning light (K118), then when braking, premature blocking of the rear wheels may be observed.
Control lamp of antiskid system (K86)
If the traction control warning light (K86) (1) does not go out after the ignition is turned on and the control cycle is completed, the causes of the malfunction may be as follows.
1. A malfunction related to the ASR system has been fixed. Active safety systems of the car ABS and EVA remain serviceable. Interrogate fault memory.
2. Short to positive in the ASR shutdown button (E256).
3. Malfunction in control of a control lamp of an antiskid system (K86).
4. Anti-slip system (ASR) disabled by the ASR disable button (E256).
Blinking of a control lamp of antiskid system (K86) during movement indicates the activation of the system (impact on executive mechanisms).
If the traction control warning light (K86) (1) does not light up, the following malfunction is possible.
1. Malfunction of a control lamp of antiskid system (K86).
ESP and ASR warning lamp (K155)
If the ESP and ASR warning lamp (K155) (1) does not go out after the ignition is turned on and the control cycle is completed, the causes of the malfunction may be as follows.
1. A malfunction related to ASR / ESP only has been fixed. The active safety systems of the vehicle ABS / EDS and EVA remain serviceable.
2. Short to positive in the ASR and ESP shutdown button (E256).
3. Malfunction in management of a control lamp ASR and ESP (K 155).
4. The ASR/ESP systems have been disabled by the ASR and ESP disable button (E258).
Blinking of a control lamp ASR and ESP (K155) during movement indicates the normal operation of the systems (impact on executive mechanisms).
If the ASR and ESP warning lamp (K155) (1) does not light up, the following malfunction is possible.
1. Malfunction of the ASRnESP warning lamp (K155).
