Cause | Elimination Method |
The control lamp does not blink after turning off the ignition
Faulty mass pressure sensor 0.3 bar (brown insulation) | Switch on the ignition, disconnect the electrical wiring from the oil pressure sensor and attach to the ground. If the control lamp flashes, replace the sensor |
No current supply to the sensor | Check wiring and connections |
Control lamp defective | Replace indicator lamp |
Faulty control device | Replace control device. The control panel is located behind the instrument panel |
The control lamp does not go out after starting the engine
Oil is very hot | If the control lamp goes out after applying gas, everything is normal, no repair is required |
TOthe control lamp does not go out after applying gas or burns while driving
Too low oil pressure | Check oil level, top up if necessary; check oil pressure as prescribed |
0.3 bar oil pressure sensor wiring shorted to ground | Disconnect wire from sensor, insulate and set aside (do not apply to mass), turn on the ignition. If the test lamp comes on, check the wiring |
Faulty oil pressure sensor 0.3 bar | Replace sensor |
The warning lamp flashes while driving, an audible signal sounds
Oil pressure sensor 1.8 bar (Gas engine) or 0.9 bar (diesel engine) out of order | Check oil pressure, check oil pressure sensor. If the oil pressure is in order, and an audible signal sounds, you can briefly disconnect the wiring and attach it to the ground to continue driving. If the buzzer continues to work, remove the control relay from the frame. Without delay, check the oil pressure sensor and control unit, replace if necessary |
Too low oil pressure at all speeds
Too little oil in the engine | Add engine oil |
The intake screen of the pump is dirty | Remove the oil pan, clean the intake screen |
Worn oil pump | Remove oil pump and check, replace if necessary |
Failed main bearings | Remove engine, repair |
Oil pressure too low at low rpm
Stuck open pressure control valve due to contamination | Remove and check valve |
Too high oil pressure above 2000 rpm
Control valve does not open due to contamination | Remove and check valve |
