To facilitate troubleshooting, it is possible to request current parameters by means of the ECU and actuate one or another element of the system.
To search for faults entered into the memory device of the computer, it is necessary to use the diagnostic stands of the company that produced the car. After faults are repaired at the workshop, they are erased from the fault recorder, allowing the fault recorder to record new faults as they are detected, without confusing them with old faults.
Cause of malfunction | Elimination Method
Cold engine won't start or starts with great difficulty
1. Blown fuses #15 and #18 | 1. Replace
2. Faulty voltage relay | 2. Check at workshop
3. Faulty fuel pump (insufficient amount of fuel is supplied to the engine) | 3. Repair or replace pump (a special key is required for repair)
4. Faulty fuel pressure regulator | 4. Check pressure regulator at workshop
5. Faulty coolant temperature sensor | 5. Check with an ohmmeter the temperature sensor
6. Faulty throttle actuator | 6. Carry out a workshop check
7. Faulty ECU | 7. Check it out at the workshop
8. Broken wires between Hall sensor and ECU | 8. Check and repair
9. Engine sucks air through leaky connections or damaged hoses | 9. Check all hose connections located on or leading to the air filter housing
Warm engine won't start or starts with great difficulty
1. Leak in vacuum line leading to fuel pressure regulator | 1. Check. Carry out all the specified checks
2. Leaky injectors | 2. Check them out at a workshop
Engine starts and then stalls again
1. Faulty throttle actuator | 1. Carry out a workshop check
2. Leaky vacuum line leading to fuel pressure regulator | 2. Check
3. Faulty lambda probe | 3. Carry out a workshop check
Engine vibrates a lot at idle
1. Faulty voltage supply relay or coolant temperature sensor | 1. Check it yourself or at a service station
Engine stalls | ||
1. Fuel filter clogged | 1. Install new filter
2. Faulty fuel pump (insufficient amount of fuel is supplied to the engine) | 2. Repair or replace pump (a special key is required for repair)
3. Leaky injectors | 3. Check them out at a workshop
