List of components of the ABS Mark 70 (ABS/ASR) system for figure VC7.044:
1. ABS control unit (J104):
- installation location: on the right side of the engine compartment on the hydraulic block;
- do not disconnect the connector before performing self-diagnosis, turn off the ignition before disconnecting the connector.
2. ABS hydraulic unit (N55):
- installation location: in the engine compartment on the right;
- the hydraulic unit includes the following units:
- ABS hydraulic pump (V64);
- valve block (contains inlet and outlet valves);
- the ABS hydraulic pump (V64) and the valve block are a single, non-disassemblable unit.
3. Brake pad thickness indicator lamp (K32):
- location: in the instrument cluster.
4. ABS warning lamp (K47):
- installation location: in the instrument cluster.
5. Anti-skid system control lamp (K86):
- location: in the instrument cluster.
6. Brake system indicator lamp (K118):
- location: in the instrument cluster.
7. Brake light switch (F) and brake pedal switch (F47):
- To ensure sufficient security of fit, the brake light switch may only be installed once.
8. ASR shutdown button (E256):
- location: on the center console.
9. Diagnostic connector:
- location: trim in the driver's footwell area.
10. Front right (G4S) and left (G47) wheel speed sensors.
11. Steering knuckle.
12. Hub with bearing:
- a magnetic ring for the ABS sensor is built into the bearing.
13. Rear right (G44) and left (G46) wheel speed sensors.
14. Rear beam with trunnion.
15. Wheel hub with bearing (bearing unit):
- a magnetic ring for the ABS sensor is built into the bearing.
